The Adityanath government has established video contact with the administrations of 75 districts for better communication and management of relief and emergency operations owing to the Covid-19 spread and lockdown in the state.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the state should be prepared to combat the increase in cases on account of the spurt in workers of Tablighi Jamaat, who have returned from Delhi’s Nizamuddin congregation, testing positive.

Adityanath said that it was important to see that correct information reaches the people of the state.

He was speaking at a video conferencing session which was organised to mark the beginning of an integrated emergency control centre.

The Adityanath government has established video contact with the administration of 75 districts for better communication and management of relief and emergency operations owing to the Covid-19 spread and lockdown in the state.

This control room will be the backbone of relief and emergency operations, Adityanath said.

Speaking at the inaugural video session, the CM said his government was working hard to fight Covid-19 and protect the people of the state from the disease.

He said the government was also working without discrimination to meet the food and ration needs of the people, which is also being done through community kitchens.

Adityanath said it was important that the control room works, taking full accountability, and maintaining vigil on happenings in the districts.

The attaching of the 75 districts to the control room through video contact, he said, will add speed to relief work.

He said that the district administration should appoint responsible nodal officers who must look after procedures for effective use of the control room and keep a 24-hour watch in order to effectively monitor the situation at isolation wards, quarantine wards, institutional quarantines, level 1, level 2 and level 3 Covid hospitals.

The Adityanath government has launched two portals — Annapurna and Supply Mitra — to fight the spread of Covid-19 and help people meet their food and ration needs, according to ABP Live website.
