"Bilateral Investment Treaty Big News For G20 Nations": PM Modi In UAE, Thanks President For First Hindu Temple In Abu Dhabi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday (13 February) and met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who also came to receive the Indian PM at Abu Dhabi airport.

Expressing that he "feels at home" and "among his family members", PM Modi highlighted that he has met Nahyan five times in the past seven months which is rare for world leaders and it shows their proximity.

Modi thanked the UAE President for participating in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and taking it to new heights. He expressed pleasure over financial sector cooperation between the two countries through India's UPI and UAE's JAYWAN.

"In our first meet, I simply requested you and in no time you have approval" for UAE's first Hindu temple, Modi recalled. He said that the Bilateral Investment Treaty between India and UAE will be a big news for G20 nations.

Modi also thanked the UAE President for the India-Middle East Economic Corridor (IMEEC) and called it an important work for future generations. He concluded his address by thanking Nahyan for making arrangements for Indian diaspora's meet.
