The 2018 elections in Madhya Pradesh were that of very slim margins. Even though the BJP secured more votes than the Congress, they were voted out for fifteen months.

As trends hold now (10:35 AM), the BJP has a strong lead in Madhya Pradesh, exceeding its vote share by 47 per cent. To put things in perspective, the vote difference between the two parties rarely exceeded 2 percentage points in the last two elections.
