With recent victories in state polls boosting its confidence, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to finalise its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections ahead of schedule.

As reported by The Times Of India, the party is considering encouraging key leaders from the Rajya Sabha to enter the electoral fray.

Following the successful strategy of announcing candidates early in state elections, the BJP aims to maintain a strategic edge over its competitors and address concerns among individuals who felt overlooked.

While no final decision has been made, the party is reportedly contemplating replicating the early announcement approach.

According to sources from The Times of India, the BJP is likely to initiate the announcement of Lok Sabha candidates by the end of January, well before the expected schedule announcement by the Election Commission in February or March.

The BJP is also considering urging prominent figures to contest the polls, continuing the party's recent practice of fielding sitting Lok Sabha members of parliament (MPs) in state elections.

If successful, these candidates are then asked to resign as MPs and continue as members of legislative assemblies.
