Canadian Parliament Marks Moment Of Silence For Khalistani Terrorist Nijjar Days Ahead Of Kanishka Bombing Anniversary

The Canadian Parliament on Tuesday (18 June) marked a moment of silence for Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Nijjar, who was designated as a terrorist by India in 2020, was shot dead in June last year by unknown gunmen near a Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia.

The incident led to diplomatic tensions between India and Canada, particularly after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the "potential" involvement of Indian government agents in Nijjar's killing.

India has denied Trudeau's claims, calling them "absurd" and "motivated".

Canada has arrested four Indian nationals, including Karan Brar, Amandeep Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, and Karanpreet Singh, in connection with the case.

It should be noted that the Canadian Parliament's move comes days ahead of anniversary of the bombing of Air India flight 182, the Kanishka, by Khalistani terrorists on 23 June 1985, killing 329 passengers and crew members.

The Kanishka bombing is among the deadliest terror attack in the Canadian history.

Earlier last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Trudeau met on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Italy.

Following the meeting, the Canadian PM discussed a shared commitment between the two nations to address critical issues in the future.
