PM Modi, Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (23 November) hailed the resounding victory of the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition in the Maharashtra Assembly polls.
"Development wins! Good governance wins! United we will soar even higher!" he said in a post on X.
"Heartfelt gratitude to my sisters and brothers of Maharashtra... especially the youth and women of the state... for a historic mandate to the NDA. This affection and warmth is unparalleled," he said.
"I assure the people our alliance will keep working for Maharashtra's progress. Jai Maharashtra!" the Prime Minister said.
The Mahayuti coalition is heading for a landslide victory in Maharashtra, leading in 233 out of 288 Assembly constituencies.
Meanwhile, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi is leading in just 50 seats.
PM Modi also commented on the Jharkhand election outcome, where the BJP-led NDA is set to lose the Congress-led INDI Alliance bloc.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress-RJD alliance is leading in 57 of the 81 seats, while the NDA is ahead in 23.
"I thank the people of Jharkhand for their support towards us. We will always be at the forefront of raising people's issues and working for the state," the Prime Minister said.
He also congratulated the JMM and the ruling alliance for their victory.
