Maruti Suzuki Manesar Plant
Maruti Suzuki India Limited achieved an impressive milestone as its Manesar plant crossed the 1 crore cumulative production mark in just 18 years, making it the fastest among Suzuki's global automobile manufacturing facilities to reach the 1 crore production milestone.
According to Maruti Suzuki, the landmark vehicle to roll out from the plant was the popular SUV, Brezza.
Spread across 600 acres, the Manesar facility which commenced its operations in October 2006, produces a range of models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, Dzire, Wagon R, XL6, Ciaz etc. catering to both domestic and export markets.
In April this year, the Company expanded its Manufacturing capacity at its Manesar plant by 1 Lakh units per year, as the company plans to double its total capacity by 2030.
On attaining this significant milestone, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “As we reach this important landmark, I thank our customers for placing their trust in us. I also thank all our employees, business associates and Government of India for their continued support.”

The Manesar Plant, which manufactured the Baleno (the first passenger car exported by the company to Japan), not only caters to the domestic demand but also plays a pivotal role in the company's Global Expansion ambitions.
With the largest market share of around 42-43 per cent, Maruti Suzuki's annual production capacity in India is approximately 23.5 lakh units. And the company has manufactured over 3.11 crore vehicles since it began operations.
