The Facebook-owned popular platform has launched a new feature inspired by the Chinese app—a video feature called Reels Remix.

This new Instagram feature is similar to the TikTok feature called Duet.

The newly launched feature will let a user add a video to an already existing clip. For instance, if a content creator or actor has posted a dance video on Instagram, any user could record their versions of the dance, attach the clip alongside the original video and post it after creating the Reels Remix.

In a Tweet, Instagram said on Wednesday, March 31: “Now you can use the Remix feature in Reels to create your own reel next to one that already exists. Whether you’re capturing your reaction, responding to friends or bringing your own magic to trends, Remix is another way to collab on Instagram.”

The Facebook-owned popular platform launched its feature “Reels” in July 2020 after understanding the fact that the similar video feature introduced by TikTok gained massive popularity before the ban.
