Amid allegations of molestation by a female employee of Raj Bhavan, West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose showed CCTV footage of the premises from 2 May to approximately 100 individuals on Thursday (9 May).

The footage from two CCTV cameras at the main gate from 5:30 pm was screened in a hall on the ground floor of Raj Bhavan as per a report by The Economic Times.

The official X handle of the Bengal governor had earlier informed about the 'SACH KE SAAMNE' programme in the background of the "fabricated and mischievous allegations by police that Raj Bhawan is not sparring CCTV footage of an incident which is under illegal and unconstitutional investigation of the police."

The first 100 interested people were invited to watch the footage in Raj Bhavan, Kolkata on 9 May 2024 at 11.30 am.

Last Friday, the contractual female employee lodged a written complaint with the Kolkata Police, alleging that Bose had molested her in the governor's house.

Previously, the governor had dismissed the allegation as 'absurd drama' and criticised Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's politics as 'dirty.'
