Muslim women with PM Modi's image
In the midst of arranging the Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya, the BJP is also initiating another program in Uttar Pradesh, specifically targeting Muslim women, Indian Express reported.
Beginning on 12 January, the BJP is set to organise events throughout the state aimed at connecting with Muslim women who have benefited from Central government initiatives. These events will be spearheaded by leading figures such as Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya.
The campaigns will be promoted under the taglines 'Shukriya Modi bhaijaan (Thank you Brother Modi)' and 'Na doori hai na khai hai, Modi humara bhai hai' (There is no gap or divide, Modi is our brother).
The BJP intends to reach out to all 75 districts in the state, with the aim of engaging approximately 1,000 Muslim women beneficiaries in each district. During these events, these women beneficiaries will be encouraged to take the stage and recount their personal experiences about how the various schemes have positively impacted their lives.
The objective, Ali explained to The Indian Express, is to ensure people understand that these programs were made possible through the competent leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ali stated that the programme's events would primarily take place in districts with substantial Muslim populations, including Bareilly, Rampur, Muzaffaranagar, Moradabad, Aligarh, and Meerut. He expressed a desire to learn about their experiences and to inform them that the government operates without bias, serving all communities equally.
According to estimates by BJP leaders, Muslim women constitute approximately 7-8 per cent of the population in UP. They believe that winning their support could significantly benefit the party.
