News Brief
Arvind Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal went back to Tihar jail as the duration of interim bail granted to him in the liquor policy case ended yesterday (1 June).
Before returning to jail, he went to Raj Ghat and offered tributes to Mahatama Gandhi. He also went to Hanuman Mandir situated at Connaught Place.
Kejriwal addressed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers at the party office and remembered freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. "Bhagat Singh said that when the power becomes a dictatorship, then jail becomes a responsibility," he said.
"If Bhagat Singh was hanged, I am also ready to be hanged. Every drop of my blood is for this country. Every moment of my life is for country," Kejriwal said while AAP workers raised slogans against dictatorship.
On exit polls, he said, "Take it in writing, all these exit polls are fake... The real issue is why they had to do a fake exit poll three days before the day of counting."
The AAP national convener alleged EVM tampering and urged party workers to stay at counting station until last moment to cross check results with VVPAT slips.
