Amid assault allegations against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide, the Delhi police and forensic teams on Friday (17 May) reached the CM’s residence, where the assault on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal allegedly took place.

The police are reportedly expected to gather CCTV footage from the living room, where Maliwal alleges she was slapped seven to eights times and kicked in the chest and stomach.

They will also record witness statements and interview members of Arvind Kejriwal's security staff, including those seen arguing with the AAP leader in blurry mobile phone footage of the incident, which was leaked online this morning, NDTV reported.

On Friday, Delhi Police took Maliwal to Tis Hazari Court to record her statement before the magistrate under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

Meanwhile, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi has said that she will be holding a press conference on Friday evening on the Swati Maliwal case.

"Will be doing a Press Conference today at 6pm to bring out the reality of the Swati Maliwal issue…" Atishi said in a post on X.
