In the ongoing power struggle with the government in Tamil Nadu, Governor R N Ravi has returned 10 bills to the assembly, including one that seeks to curtail his authority in appointing vice chancellors to state-run universities.

This move comes in the wake of the Supreme Court's recent warning to Governor Ravi and his Punjab counterpart about avoiding unwarranted delays in approving bills passed by the elected government of each state.

In response to the Governor's actions, the Tamil Nadu Assembly is set to reconvene on Saturday (18 November) to resend the bills in question, marking another chapter in the ongoing conflict between the Governor and the elected government.
