UP CM Yogi Adityanath
Boosting the morale of party workers, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday (14 July) asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could potentially win all 10 seats in the Assembly by-polls.
Nine of these seats were vacated due to the election of MLAs to Lok Sabha and one seat was vacated due to the conviction of the Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA. Elections for them will be held soon.
"We have to work from today. Every worker should work. To maintain the fame that Uttar Pradesh has gained, we have to continue the winning streak. That's why the BJP national president is here," the UP CM said.
Recalling the BJP victories in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 2017 and 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections, Panchayat elections, urban local body elections and by-polls, Adityanath said, "This momentum should prevail in 2027."
Adityanath asserted that no discrimination was done to anyone by his government. "Uttar Pradesh has been successfully freed from mafias. Grand Ramlall temple was built in Ayodhya," he recalled achievements.
"BJP workers should not be on backfoot. Today when the BJP is in government, the state is secure. Moharram and Tajiya are being conducted peacefully," the UP CM added.
BJP national president J P Nadda was present during the meeting. He praised the ethanol production, infrastructure development and good governance in UP.
