Hanumangarhi temple entrance
The assistant priest of Hanumangarhi temple in Ramnagar of Ayodhya, Ram Sahare Das was murdered. His body was found in his room adjacent to the stairs of Hanumangarhi. His throat was slit.
Three sadhus were staying in the room with him, two of whom are currently absconding, Jagran reported on Thursday (19 October). The cause of the murder is not yet clear.
IG Range Praveen Kumar and SSP Rajkaran Nayyar visited the crime scene. The CCTV camera there has been found to be shut for several days.
Seeing Ram Sahare Das's closed room, a sadhu pushed it, and the door opened. Upon seeing the body inside, the sadhu informed others. Ram Sahare Das was associated with the Basantiya Patti. He was a disciple of Sant Kabirnagar's Mahant Durbal Das.
Station in-charge Manishankar Tiwari informed that preliminary investigation has revealed that Ram Sahare Das was involved in a land dispute in Bhiti, Ambedkarnagar. The deceased originally belonged to Kanta in Sant Kabirnagar.
Navbharat Times reported that it is about ownership of about 10 bighas of land. The police are conducting inquiries with the residents and saints in Hanumangarhi. The forensic team is also involved in the investigation of the incident.
