BJP MP Nishikant Dubey launched fresh attacks on TMC MP Mahua Moitra in 'cash-for-query' case on Thursday (23 November) through a post on X.

He attached two images of Lok Sabha guidelines and wrote, "It clearly says that confidentiality means that the information should be limited to the MP only. Because when the MP asks a question, the MP gets the answer one hour before the commencement of the Parliament."

He highlights that sharing information before time can lead to ups and downs for a company in the stock market and breach in the security of the country.

He adds that the passing of premature information about our relations with other countries can bring significant implications for the economy and security.

Notably, Dubey has accused Moitra, of taking bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani for asking questions to target Adani group, citing "irrefutable evidence" by Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai.

The rules attached by Dubey in the post say that replies are uploaded on the Members' Portal by 9 am but since they are login and password-protected, confidentiality should be maintained until the Question Hour is over.

It further says that the contents of the reply are "strictly confidential until the Question for Oral Answer has actually been asked and answered in the House" or if there is no oral answer, the reply "should not be released till the conclusion of Question Hour."
