UP CM Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday (25 September) unveiled a significant initiative aimed at bolstering women's empowerment within the state.
As part of this new strategy, every district will establish two dedicated women's police stations, each led by a female police officer. These women's police stations will operate under the direct oversight of the Chief Minister.
Adityanath also issued a stern warning that any police officer found engaging in corruption or misconduct would face immediate dismissal from their position.
Furthermore, Adityanath disclosed plans for the forthcoming Sharadiya Navratri festival, announcing the launch of a new phase of the Mission Shakti program. This initiative aims to empower women in villages throughout the state with the assistance of "Shakti Didi" volunteers.
The Chief Minister also directed police authorities to ensure the completion of security arrangements for 17 municipal corporations, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, by 14 October.
