Dear Reader,

The shock that the 2024 results delivered is yet to subside — among the BJP and its supporters.

While the party is yet to get back its mojo and is constantly appearing on the backfoot, a significant chunk of supporters too have drowned themselves in the doom and gloom.

Some are writing off Brand Modi and others questioning the party's commitment to its OG Hindutva. Mainstreaming of Khatakhat politics and the resurgence of caste as a crucial determinant have added to this fatalist pessimism.

In the latest edition of Swarajya's weekend magazine, my colleague Sharan argues that it is not the Brand Modi that has declined. Instead, the party paid the price for its strategic missteps.

Ticket distribution, non-coordination with RSS, gaps in communication with the voters, failure to counter disinformation — the party seems to be on the path to putting its house in order.

Also in this edition, read an insightful piece by Banuchandar Nagarajan on the need to rejig the IT Cell to meet the challenges of a post-truth world.

If you're a subscriber, you already have full access to this issue and all of Swarajya Digital. Just use your email ID to login and read them uninterrupted.

This also gives you access to not just these weekend editions, but also articles, monthly magazines, quizzes, podcasts, and more.

Until next week,
