Gannavaram in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh turned into a political battlefield with men belonging to the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) vandalising the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in the town.

On Monday (20 February) evening, supporters of Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi targeted TDP office, vandalised it and set a car on fire in the premises of TDP party office.

According to a report by The Hindu, a large number of activists of both parties allegedly attacked each other with sticks and stones.

Condemning the political violence against his party, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that there is no peace and security in Andhra Pradesh under CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s rule.
