During a protest at Parliament's Makar Dwar, Kalyan Banerjee, a suspended Trinamool Congress MP, was observed mimicking Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The mimicry, depicting the proceedings of the House, drew disapproval from Dhankhar, who deemed it "ridiculous" and "unacceptable", according to a report from Hindustan Times.

While engaging in the protest alongside other suspended MPs, Banerjee mimicked the Vice President, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was reportedly seen recording the Trinamool Congress MP using his mobile phone.

As the House reconvened after being adjourned, Dhankhar expressed his disdain for the incident, highlighting the inappropriate nature of senior leaders video graphing members of other parties and mimicking the Chairman and Speaker.

In a parallel development, 49 Lok Sabha MPs were suspended for disrupting proceedings, following the suspension of 78 opposition members from Parliament on the previous day.

Members of the INDIA bloc, demanding a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Parliament security breach on 13 December, staged protests in front of the Gandhi statue on Parliament premises.

The suspended lawmakers, joined by Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, raised slogans against the Centre.

Additionally, protests were held at Parliament's Makar Dwar by the suspended members.
