Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday (26 April) held a roadshow in Mandya in poll bound Karnataka.

CM Yogi also addressed a public rally as part of his election campaign.

Addressing the gathering, the Uttar Pradesh CM said that only a double engine government can guarantee ‘safety’ as well as ‘prosperity’ with its concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shaskath Bharath’ (One India Strong India).

Citing Uttar Pradesh as an example of success of a double engine government, CM Yogi said that not even a single curfew was imposed and not a single incident of violence was witnessed in UP in the last six years.

"We get to see development in all fields owing to a double engine government and we believe in empowerment," said CM Yogi, reports Deccan Chronicle.

He added that Congress talks about development but the reality was that the five-year schemes which they used to announce became a reality only after the scheme's term ended.

When PM Modi lays the foundation of a scheme, he also inaugurates it, the Uttar Pradesh CM said during the poll rally, reports Times of India.

"Congress appeases the Popular Front of India (PFI) and gives religion-based reservation, which is against the Indian Constitution," CM Yogi said.

He added that the BJP government has provided reservation for the needy people.

The Uttar Pradesh CM also said that Ram Temple at Ayodhya is getting ready and would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2024.
