Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who campaigned in Sitamarhi recently for the ongoing Assembly election, has said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, people hailing from Bihar can think of Jammu Kashmir beyond livelihood and work.
He said that the people of Bihar can now think about buying land in Jammu and Kashmir.
For his address to the people of Sitamarhi, Adityanath repeated a message that was similar to the one he gave to the people of west Champaran during a rally, reportedly in Chanpatia.
Addressing the people of west Champaran, he said that it was Congress that had deprived people of this opportunity to settle in Jammu and Kashmir.
"With what face is Congress coming to ask for votes..." he said.
Adityanath added: "Bharat ki dharti aatankvaad ki dharti nahin ban sakti (India cannot become the land of terrorism), Bharat ki dharti Ram Krishna aur Shankar ki dharti hai (Bharat is the land of Ram, Krishna and Shankar), the land of freedom fighters and the land of rishis and munis."
He said that this action by the Centre — to allow Jammu and Kashmir to welcome people from all parts of the country — was in harmony with PM Modi's slogan of 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat'
He was referring to the government's notification that states that any Indian citizen can now buy land (except agricultural) in the municipal areas of Jammu and Kashmir without being a domicile.
He also mentioned the withdrawing of Article 370 by the Centre, in his Sitamarhi address.
He said that it was due to the efforts of PM Modi that a person hailing from Bihar, who contributes to the development of his own state, and works in Jammu and Kashmir, can have a home in both Bihar and J&K.
Attacking Congress, he mentioned the Mumbai Terror attacks of 2008 and said that hundreds of people died while brave jawans sacrificed their lives.
He said that Pakistan's role in the Mumbai terror attacks was well known.
He added that after the Mumbai terror attacks, people of India were demanding action against Pakistan, but the Rahul and Sonia Gandhi-led Congress party and the Lalu Yadav-led RJD gave more importance to politics and power, than the country and its national interests.
He referred to the Pulwama attack and the following actions from Prime Minister Modi within a month.
He said that it was from PM Modi that India was learning to give the enemy a befitting reply, instead of being timid before the enemy, as was under Congress rule.
In his address, reportedly in Chanpatia, he asked people if they understood the meaning of the withdrawing of Article 370.
He said it was "aatankvaad ki taaboot par keel tthokna (nails in the coffin of terrorism).
He added that there was no room in Bharat for terrorism and Naxalism.
In his own speeches, PM Modi has hailed the people of Bihar and the brave jawans for their valour and bravery.
