Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the special session of the Parliament beginning from today will be "historic" in scope.

Addressing the media ahead of the commencement of the five-day long session, the Prime Minister said, " Tomorrow, on Ganesh Chaturthi, we will move to the new Parliament. Lord Ganesha is also known as 'vighnaharta', now there will be no obstacles in the development of the country. This session of Parliament may be short, but it is historic in scope".

He also spoke about success of India's third moon mission - Chandrayaan-3.

He also asked the Opposition parties to make productive use of this short session, adding that “there will be enough time to cry foul.”

Speaking about the G20 Summit, the Prime Minister said that India will always be proud that it became the voice of the Global South during the G20 Summit and that the African Union became a permanent member of the G20.
