A life-threatening attack was carried out on Bittu Bajrangi's brother on late Wednesday (13 December) in Haryana's Faridabad by four unidentified individuals.

Bittu Bajrangi is a Bajrang Dal leader and his real name is Raj Kumar. He is a cow vigilant and made headlines when he was arrested after the 31 July Nuh violence.

Before the attack, the victim was inquired if he was the brother of Bittu Bajrangi, Hindustan reported. When the victim confirmed, the attackers poured petrol on him and set him on fire and fled.

Police revealed that the victim is identified as Mahesh Panchal, residing in Sanjay Enclave, Faridabad. He was sitting near Baba Mandi around 1:30 AM when four unidentified individuals attacked him

He mentioned, "Mahesh has suffered about 60 per cent burns, and he has been referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi." Yadav added that with the burning body, Mahesh ran towards his house, where family members extinguished the fire before taking him to a nearby hospital.

The victim's condition is critical. Bajrangi alleges that this was an attempt to avenge him. He said, "Because I work for the protection of cows and run a group to rescue them from smugglers, some people attempted to murder my brother."

Bittu Bajrangi is the head of the Goraksha Bajrang Force. He is currently out on bail.
