Annamalai (L) and Udhayanidhi Stalin (R)
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai today (27 November) questioned the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government regarding the large number of police personnel deployed for security on the occasion of Udhayanidhi Stalin's birthday.
He said that the responsibility of the government and the police does not end with protecting "Dynasts" and that common people were paying the price of lawlessness in the state.
"The Corrupt DMK Govt & the TN State police should realise that their responsibility does not end with protecting only the Dynasts as the common people continue to pay the price of lawlessness in the State."
Udhayanidhi, who has been in the news for his remarks calling for the eradication of Sanatana Dharma, paid his respects to his grandfather M Karunanidhi, Dravidian ideologue EV Ramasamy and former chief minister CN Annadurai. He later joined his father Chief Minister MK Stalin at the inauguration of a statue of former Prime Minister VP Singh in Chennai's Presidency College.
