Boeing 737 Carrying Around 133 People Crashes In China

A China Eastern Airline plane with 133 people on board has crashed in China. The crash occurred in China's Guangxi province.

According to Chinese state media, the number of casualties and reason for crash are unknown as of now.

The crash of the Boeing 737 jet happened in a mountainous and forested region which has led to plumes of smoke billowing from the forest.


The flight had been on air for just around an hour.


The crash occurred near the city of Wuzhou, Teng County. Guangxi, the southern province in which the crash occurred, neighbours the major south-eastern city of Guangzhou.

According to Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), rescue crews have been deployed to the crash site.


As per FlightRadar24 data, the last sourced information on the flight showed it ended at 14:22 local time, at an altitude of 3,225 ft.
