Srijan Foundation, in association with Swarajya, is organising talks on ‘The Right to Education Act and Its Impact on the Indian Education System’.

Talk 1: ‘The Right to Education Act and the Destruction of School Education’ by Dr Anjana Thadhani

Dr Thadhani will talk about the impact of the Right To Education Act, 2009, on school education in general and children with special needs, in particular. She will discuss such issues as closure of private schools, degrading quality of education and the negative effects of comprehensive standardisation.

Talk 2: ‘The Right to Education Act and Sectarianism in Indian Educationby Arihant Pawariya

Pawariya will talk about the targeted and sectarian nature of the Right to Education Act and anti-Hindu sectarianism in the Indian education system. He will discuss the 93rd Amendment to the Indian Constitution, the National Commission For Minority Educational Institutions Act, minority-only scholarships and more.
