Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commenced a two-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Monday (23 October).
During this visit, he plans to meet the security personnel stationed in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of Vijaydashmi/Dussehra.
Rajnath Singh took to Twitter, or 'X', to announce his trip.
In his post, he stated, "Today, 23rd October, I shall be reaching Tezpur on a 2 day visit to Assam & Arunachal Pradesh. During my visit, I will interact with Armed Forces personnel deployed in the region and also visit forward areas."
He added, "Looking forward to celebrate Dussehra with the soldiers in Tawang."
He also took part in the 'Bada Khana' and interacted with the personnel at Tezpur military station.

The Defence Minister stated, "Delighted to interact with the Armed Forces personnel during ‘Bada Khana’ at Tezpur Military Station."
It is worth noting that on 9 December last year, Indian and Chinese troops clashed at the Line of Actual Control at Yangtse locality in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh.
