DRDO will showcase a wide range of indigenously-developed products and technologies during the 14th Aero India event, which will be held in Bengaluru between 13 to 17 February.
The DRDO Pavilion will showcase over 330 products, which are categorised into 12 zones.
Combat Aircraft and UAVs: The flagship products in this zone include India's fifth generation fighter aircraft AMCA, LCA Tejas Mk2, TEDBF, ARCHER, TAPAS UAV, and Autonomous Stealth Wing Flying Test Bed.
Missiles and Strategic Systems: The key products in this zone are Akash, Astra, QRSAM, Helina, Nag, and Pralay.
Engine and Propulsion Systems: FACECU, Gearbox module, Kaveri Dry Engine Prototype, and Small Turbo Fan Engine are the products that will be exhibited in this zone.
Airborne Surveillance Systems: The main products in this zone are AEW&C-NETRA, AEW&C- MkII, MMMA Aircraft, IFF, and AAAU Model.
Sensors Electronic Warfare and Communication Systems: The featured products in this zone are TWIR, BFSR-SR, Bharani, Ashlesha, AATRU, ASPJ Pod, and LEOP.
Parachute and Drop Systems: The main products in this zone are Military Combat Parachute System, Brake Parachute, and P-16 Heavy Drop System.
Naval Systems Zone: Airborne Sonar with Helicopter Model, Air launched Directional Sonobuoy will be displayed.
Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning and Cyber Systems: Airborne Sonar with Helicopter Model, Air launched Directional Sonobuoy, DDCA, INDIGIS, Air Warfare Simulation System, and QRNG are the products in this zone.
Materials: The key products in this zone are FSAPDS and Titanium Alloys.
Land Systems and Munitions: ASREM, Surveillance ROV, and SUMITRA are the products that will be displayed in this zone.
Life Support Services: Integrated Life Support System and Helicopter Oxygen System are the key products in this zone.
Industry and Academia Outreach: Wankel Rotary Engine, Jet Fuel Starter, and Radio Altimeter are the products in this zone.
Additionally, the India Pavilion will exhibit five DRDO products, including AEWC&C Mk-II, AMCA, LCA Tejas Mk2, TEDBF, and Archer (Image intelligence with Weapon Payloads).
Further, the DRDO’s participation in the mega show will be marked by the flight displays of LCA Tejas, LCA Tejas PV6, NETRA AEW&C and TAPAS UAV, according to a Defence Ministry release.
The participation will also be marked by the flying debut of indigenous Medium Altitude Long Endurance class UAV TAPAS-BH (Tactical Aerial Platform for Advanced Surveillance - Beyond Horizon).
The TAPAS-BH will showcase its capabilities and cover the static as well aerial displays on the business days and the aerial video will be live streamed throughout the venue.
TAPAS is DRDO's solution to the tri services ISTAR requirements. The UAV is capable of operating at altitudes up to 28000 feet, with an endurance of 18 plus hours.
