The Indian Air Force (IAF) will hold its first-ever multi-national air exercise 'Tarang Shakti', in October-November this year.

This will be the largest multi-national air exercise to be hosted by India. The exercise intends to strengthen military co-operation between the air forces.

According to reports, about twelve nations will take part in the exercise, six of which will take active participation and the rest six will particiapte as observers.

The US, UK, France and Australia will likely participate in the 'Tarang Shakti' exercise.

Apart from fighter jets, countries will also bring transport aircrafts in the exercise. The exercise will either be held in October or November, an official talking about the date of the exercise said.

The location of the exercise, however, is not identified yet.

In April, the IAF participated in two different air exercises — Cope India 2023 (April 10 to April 24) and Exercise Orion (April 17 to May 5) with the United States and France respectively, simultaneously.

IAF also flew to Greece to take part in another multi national air exercise — INIOCHOS — at Andravida Air Base in Greece.

Apart from the holding the air exercise, the IAF will send three Rafale fighter jets to Paris to take part in the Bastille Day Parade of France, where the three jets will make a flypast over Champs-Élysées in Paris along with their French counterparts.
