Another Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, Adnan Ahmed, was reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen in Karachi in Pakistan, reported Aajtak.
Adnan, who is also known by the alias Hanzala Adnan, was the mastermind behind the 2016 attack on a CRPF convoy in Pampore, which resulted in the death of eight soldiers and injuries to 22 others.
His terror activities included the 2015 attacks in Udhampur, guiding terrorists in Pakistan, and playing a pivotal role in suicide attacks in Srinagar and Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
He was also actively involved in training recruits at Lashkar camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), particularly those assigned to infiltrate India for terrorist activities. His expertise in communications was well recognised within the Lashkar ranks.
The death of Adnan marks a significant setback for Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed. He was a close associate of Hafiz Saeed.
In the early hours of 3 December, he was targeted by unknown assailants who fired four shots.
According to the report Adnan was shot outside his residence and was covertly taken to a Karachi hospital by the Pakistani army, suffering from critical injuries. He succumbed to his wounds on 5 December.
