Prior to this achievement, the Naval variant of Tejas had also accomplished a successful landing on INS Vikrant.
INS Vikrant, measuring 262 meters in length and 62 meters in width, with a height of 59 meters, is equipped with over 2,300 compartments. These compartments are designed to accommodate equipment and approximately 1,700 personnel, including dedicated cabins for women officers. The carrier has a top speed of around 28 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots, enabling it to cover a distance of about 7,500 nautical miles.
The construction of INS Vikrant began in 2009 and was commissioned into service by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September last year.
