  • Good Morning, Swarajya Readers! Here’s What You Need To Know Today.

  • Trouble In Tripura

Section 144 has been imposed in Agartala after violent clashes between activists of Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) and local residents injured 17 people. The former was carrying out a procession in the city.

The IPFT is a tribal based party which is demanding ‘Twipra land’, a separate state for the tribals by carving out the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) from the state.

    Dawood’s Addresses

The UN Security Council’s ISIL and Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee has virtually found that six out of the nine addresses of Dawood Ibrahim given by India are correct. The nine addresses of Dawood in Pakistan were a part of a dossier prepared by India in August last year as evidence to show that he is based in Pakistan.

Now, it has got the UN committee’s endorsement too.

    Clinton In e-mail Trouble Again

The FBI has recovered about 15,000 deleted emails belonging to a personal server of Hillary Clinton which she used for official purposes when she was the secretary of state from 2009-2013.

These emails were not a part of the original trove of 55,000 pages that Mrs Clinton’s lawyers had handed over to the state department last year. The FBI director had said that he didn’t believe these emails were deleted intentionally.

Be that as it may, a federal judge has now ordered that the state department accelerates the documents’ release. This can come days before the election in November and severely hurt her campaign.

Some of the emails which were not handed over by Clinton voluntarily were released on Monday separately and demonstrate efforts by Clinton family foundation to leverage its influence with Mrs Clinton. They also show how Huma Abedin served as a conduit between the foundation and the state department.

However, the panel hasn’t prescribed reducing the upper age limit from current 37 years for SC/ST candidates.
