India To Extend Invitation To Quad Leaders For Republic Day Celebrations In 2024: Report

India is preparing to host the G20 summit from September 8 to 10, and there is a possibility that Quad leaders- US, Japan, and Australia — will be invited as guests for the Republic Day celebrations in 2024, according to a report by The Indian Express.

As India's G20 Presidency comes to an end and Brazil prepares to take over, Prime Minister Modi told Moneycontrol that India has effectively used this year to advocate for the interests of nations both within and outside the intergovernmental forum, amidst the global geopolitical tensions.

PM Modi highlighted that India has been actively promoting the interests of the developing world, including countries not represented in the G20, such as the nations of the African Union.

India has successfully raised awareness and highlighted the perspectives of the developing world in a forum that is largely dominated by developed nations. This has allowed the developing world to express their concerns and showcase the opportunities they have to offer.
