India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, strongly rebuked Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, after the SCO meeting in Goa on Friday, criticizing his comments on "weaponizing terrorism."

Jaishankar condemned Zardari's role as "as a promoter, justifier and spokesperson of a terrorism industry" and said that "his positions were called out and countered" during the meeting.

Jaishankar called out Zardari's double standards on terrorism, highlighting Pakistan's history of supporting terrorist groups.

The EAM pointed out that Pakistan's credibility on the issue of terrorism is declining faster than its foreign exchange reserves.

"They are committing acts of terrorism. I don't want to jump the gun on what happened today but we are all feeling equally outraged. On this matter, the terrorism matter, I would say that Pakistan's credibility is depleting faster than even its Forex reserves," he said.

Jaishankar also said that the Narendra Modi government will not engage in bilateral talks with Pakistan until the issue of cross-border terrorism is addressed. He stated that it is not feasible for the victims of terrorism to hold discussions on the matter with the perpetrators.

"Victims of terrorism defend themselves, counter acts of terrorism, they call it out, they legitimise it and that is exactly what is happening. To come here and preach these hypocritical words as though we are on the same boat," he was quoted by ANI as saying.
