First underground corridor
The 33.5-km long Metro-3 corridor running along Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ is Mumbai's first underground metro corridor.
It will connect the Cuffe Parade business district in the extreme south of the city to SEEPZ in the north-central with 26 underground and one at-grade station.
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation, responsible for implementing Mumbai Metro Line 3, commonly known as Aqua Line, has targeted to open the first phase of connecting Aarey and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), in April 2024. The second phase between BKC and Colaba will be ready by October 2024.
