Taking a step forward in enhancing convenience to commuters, NCRTC is providing multiple options for last-mile connectivity from the stations in the priority section of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), in collaboration with Ghaziabad City Transport Services Limited, has arranged to integrate the routes of 50 air-conditioned electric city buses, operating on various directions in Ghaziabad.
Under this arrangement, air-conditioned electric city buses operating in Loni, Kaushambi, Ghaziabad Old Bus Stand, Dasna, Muradnagar and Govind Puri at Modinagar, have recently started making a stoppage at the RRTS stations along their way.
This multi-modal connectivity aims to provide a seamless and safe travel experience to commuters in the Ghaziabad region.
These buses stop in the specific bus drop-off lanes created near the entry-exit gates, at all the major stations of the section. These include Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai stations.
From this point onwards, commuters of Namo Bharat trains can board them and carry on their journey forward.
Apart from this, at the request of NCRTC, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is already providing air-conditioned electric DTC bus services from Anand Vihar bus stand to Sahibabad RRTS station.
AC electric buses are available between Anand Vihar ISBT and Sahibabad from 6.20 am till 9.35 pm. These buses are available at Sahibabad and Anand Vihar ISBT at an interval of every 20 minutes.
NCRTC is also trying to integrate GPS available in the buses to provide accurate information about the operation of these bus services to the commuters.
Along with this, electric auto rickshaw service is also available at all four important stations.
These last-mile connectivity options aims to provide commuters with connected, fast and eco-friendly transportation options for the last leg of their journey which is a critical need given today's environmental conditions.
With the operation of the priority section, it has been a constant endeavor of NCRTC to provide seamless end-to-end travel facilities to commuters. For this, efforts are being made to provide various last-mile connectivity options, so that more and more people can avail the convenience of Namo Bharat trains.
Due to these efforts of NCRTC, and the planned operation of Ghaziabad city buses and electric autos, the remote areas of Delhi from Anand Vihar to Ghaziabad are now connected with an integrated transport system.
This will enable the commuters of not only urban centres like Muradnagar, Modinagar, Kaushambi, Raj Nagar etc., but also important rural areas around the section like Bikanpur, Milak Chakarpur, Shahpur Nij Morta, Basantpur Senthali and Ataur Nagla etc., to enjoy seamless travel experience by Namo Bharat trains.
The newly-inaugurated Namo Bharat trains with a design speed of 180 kmph are writing a new chapter in the transportation sector of the national capital region.
