Revving Up Growth: Logistic Infrastructure Now A Priority Sector Under Gujarat Industrial Development Act

A decision to include logistic infrastructure as a priority sector in Gujarat Industrial Development Act (GID Act) was taken in the GIDB meeting.

The Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB), which has a statutory status under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, facilitates the flow of finance for infrastructure projects and encourages private sector participation in the state.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of the Gati Shakti – National Master Plan, which calls for the preparation and implementation of integrated infrastructure master plans by states.

GIDB has been designated as the nodal agency for the implementation of the Gati Shakti Masterplan project in Gujarat.

The GIDB meeting was chaired by state Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
