25,000 Delhi Development Authority Flats To Be Ready In Six Months, 10,000 To Be Allotted In First Phase

Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) will soon allot the first lot of 10,000 flats under its housing schemes. DDA vice-chairman Tarun Kapoor said that several apartments are under construction and about 25,000 apartments would be ready by the next six months, reports Mint.

But, not all have water connections and other utilities, so the houses will mostly be split into two lots, added the chairman. However, the timeline for the launch of the next lot was not was not specified.

Earlier, DDA launched its housing scheme which offered 25,034 flats out of which 22,627 were one-bedroom flats. DDA received sharp criticism over the project and a large no of people returned the flats.

In the scheme, the flats ranged from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 1.2 crore across categories such as EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats and one-room apartments.

E-auction of several commercial properties would also be done, said the chairman.
