‘A Message To Dawood Ibrahim that We Do Not Fear Him’ Says Buyer Of The Criminal's Ancestral Home

The ancestral home of international fugitive Dawood Ibrahim was virtually auctioned and sold off yesterday under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange (Forfeiture of Property) (SAFEMA) Act.

This was among six properties of the wanted gangster that were auctioned for a total of Rs 22.8 lakh. The property belonging to the family of the underworld don in Mumbke village in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district was bought by two Delhi based advocates.

The ancestral home of India's most wanted terrorist went for more than Rs 11 lakh, as per reported.

“This fight is not for money, it is just to send a message to Dawood Ibrahim that we do not fear him and can purchase his properties," said Delhi-based lawyer Ajay Shrivastav who bought ‘Ibrahim Mansion’ for Rs 11.2 lakh.

Srivastav who also purchased 25 'gunthas' of land, for Rs 4.30 lakh, intends to use the premises to set up “an anti-terrorist national front at these locations”, as quoted. The property was in the name of Dawood's mother Amin Bi and late sister Hasina Parkar.

Srivastav, whose previous stints of buying Dawood’s property has had him receiving threat calls, said “If he can kill our innocent people by sitting abroad, then we also can help our agencies with such contributions in the fight against terrorism,” as reported.

A land plot in Lote village in Ratnagiri district remained unsold due to technical reasons and will be put for auction again.
