ACT Fibernet the broadband service provider, launched its 4K streaming services through a single device that allows users on-demand streaming of live TV and other streaming services.
In an event held in Bengaluru, ACT Fibernet announced its ACT Fibernet 4K TV making inroads into the lucrative home entertainment services. The services will stream live TV and on-demand content services in 4K resolution.
ACT partnered with content management and streaming services like that of Netflix, Zee5, SonyLiv and YouTube. The device’s platform will provide users access to PlayStore and download 3000 plus apps, and the device can also be able to connect to gaming joysticks, keyboards and more. For gaming experiences, the company has partnered with GamerConnect - a premium gaming showcase platform.
The 4K streaming device is priced at Rs 4999, the company’s CTO speaking at the event added that as an introductory offer, the company will be extending its benefits to 5000 select customers and will start bundling the Stream TV 4K with its select broadband plans post the commercial launch in May 2019, as reported by telecomtalk.
The device which will be competing with Amazon FireStick streaming services, allows personal customisations, features where consumers can catch up on missed programmes and also support voice control through Google Assistant.
