The Mahavir Mandir trust in Bihar's capital Patna has announced that it will distribute over 1.25 lakh 'Raghupati Laddoos' on the occasion of the 'bhumi pujan' (foundation laying ceremony) of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on 5 August, ANI has reported.
Of the total laddoos, the Mahadev Mandir trust will hand over around 51,000 laddoos to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust which has been constituted to look after construction and management of the grand Ram temple at Ayodhya.
The remaining laddoos will be sent to the temples in Mata Janaki's birthplace at Sitamarhi in Bihar and around the 25 piligrimage places where it is believed that Lord Ram's 'padchinhas' (footprints) lie, the trustee of Mahadev Mandir trust Acharya Kishore Kunal was quoted as saying.
Besides, the Raghupati laddoos, which have been made with pure cow ghee, will also be distributed among devotees of Lord Ram and Hanuman in different parts of Bihar on 5 August.
The Mahavir Mandir trust, according to Acharya Kishore, has already donated Rs 2 crore to the Ayodhya Ram temple trust and will give a total of Rs 10 crore for the construction of grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
