After a long silence on the Pulwama terror attack, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday (19 February) delivered a “policy statement” on the incident and said that India has “blamed” Pakistan “without evidence” in the matter.

"Why would Pakistan do it when it is moving towards stability? How does it benefit Pakistan," said Imran Khan in his statement over Pulwama attack, reports India Today.

"My statement is for the Indian government. You (Indian government) have blamed the Pakistan government without any evidence," Pakistani Prime Minister said.

"It is in our interest that nobody from our soil spreads violence. I want to tell the Indian government that we will take action if evidence is found against anyone from Pakistan," he said.

During his address, Khan said that Pakistan was also facing terrorism and that many Pakistanis have died in terrorist incidents in the country.

He said that Pakistan will retaliate in case India thinks about attacking it. “If you think that you will attack Pakistan, it will not think about retaliation, it will retaliate,” Khan said.

He also said it was “easy” for humans to start a war, but ending it was not in their hands.
