Boycotted singer Mika Singh chanted "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram" soon after returning to India at the Attari Border, reports The Tribune.
Singh was banned by the All India Cine Workers Association(AICWA) after performing at the at an event in Karachi. He has performed at the wedding of the daughter of former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's cousin, last week.
The 43-year-old Punjabi singer shared a video on Twitter extending the Independence Day wishes and expressing his gratitude to the servicemen.

Rebuking Mika for putting money above the nation's interest, particularly at a time when tension between the South Asian neighbours is at its peak, the association's statement says, "AICWA workers will make sure that no one in India works with Mika Singh, and if anyone does, they will face legal consequences in the court of law."
Mika and his team were granted visa for 30 days to perform to perform in three Pakistani cities- Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
