After Praja Vedika, It Is Naidu’s Official Residence’s Turn: Andhra CM Jagan Sends Demolition Notice

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) of Andhra Pradesh has issued a demolition notice for the residence of former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. The notice has asked Naidu to vacate and demolish the house, failing which the government would initiate appropriate action, reports Zee News.

Naidu has been asked to respond to the notice with an explanation within one week. The notice issued by CRDA has been posted on the walls of the house by the officials. Notably, Mr Naidu and his family are out of the country on a vacation as of now.

The move comes just two days after the authorities demolished Praja Vedika, a government building constructed by the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government led by Naidu. The building was demolished on the orders of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy who took the decision during a meeting held in the very building.

Accusing the current government of indulging in vindictive politics, TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna said, “It is clear that the Chief Minister is pursuing vindictive politics here. Why should he demolish a building just because it was built by TDP government? Instead, if he doesn't want to use it, he can convert into some facility which will be useful for general public.”
