Authorities are on the lookout for Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Kamal Nath's nephew Ratul Puri after a Delhi court on Friday (9 August) issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against him as part of the probe into the AugustaWestland VVIP chopper scam, reports The Indian Express.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had earlier lost track of Puri after he slipped out of its office in New Delhi on 26 July under some pretext without informing the investigating officer and didn't join back the investigations thereafter.

The agency had thus knocked on the doors of the Delhi court for issuance of a NBW, asserting that Puri was non-cooperative and untraceable. The ED also alleged in court that Puri was influencing witnesses and trying to tamper with the evidence in the high-profile case.

It was a result of these developments that Puri's anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the court on Tuesday, and finally led to the issuance of the NBW against him by Special Judge Arvind Kumar.
