During his concluding speech at the National Executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave ‘Ajeya Bharat, Atal Bhajapa’ (victorious Bharat, steadfast BJP) as the slogan for 2019 General Elections, Business Standard reported. Modi called upon his party-men to win each and every booth in the general election.

BJP president Amit Shah laid the vision of remaining in power for the next fifty years to the audience at the meet. He said, “We will win the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, and there would be none who can oust us for the next 50 years.”

During the meet, the party passed a political resolution to build a new India by 2022 free of casteism, corruption, communalism, and terrorism. The resolution also mentioned that the opposition had no agenda other than stopping Narendra Modi from being Prime Minister again.

The party also passed a separate resolution for the agriculture sector, focusing on doubling farmers’ income. However, there was no separate economic resolution.

When questioned about the departure from the trend in previous BJP National Executives, Union Minister Ravishankar Prasad said that the political resolution had dealt with substantial economic issues as well.

On the other hand, the Congress party has dubbed the BJP’s political resolution as ‘testament of unpardonable failures and betrayal’.
