With intelligence inputs of major terrorist attacks in the following days, the National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval reached Srinagar on Wednesday (25 September), reports Hindustan Times.
Doval will be meeting with the top brass of the security apparatus set up in Jammu and Kashmir, and he will also be taking stock of the security situation and the development related activities in the region.
This is the second visit by Doval to the region after he had camped himself in the region for 11 days following the parliamentary nod to bring down the contentious Articles 370 and 35A of the constitution of India.
The present visit comes amidst the intelligence inputs about 200 Pakistan backed militants being prepped up to infiltrate into India. There are also inputs about major attacks being carried out in Taran Taran and other border regions of Punjab where Pakistan recently dropped in arms and weapons through drones.
