The Taliban’s foreign ministry claimed that the government in Kabul has already fulfilled the demands raised in the recent multi-nation conference on Afghanistan that was convened in Delhi.

Taliban further said that it welcomed the conference and asserted that it will not allow Afghanistan to be used against others.

The demands made during the "Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan” include an assurance that Taliban government will not export terrorism and ensure unimpeded access for humanitarian support in the country, reports Times of India.

However, Taliban’s claims of fulfilling the demands made in the Delhi Declaration differ from the reality on the gorund as reports are coming from Afghanistan about deprivation and also imposition of several restrictions as mentioned in religious prescriptions.

Most countries, barring Pakistan, expect Taliban to provide more evidence of its regime being tolerant, mindful and inclusive of civilian distress.

“The Islamic Emirate (Taliban) welcomes the India meeting. We are trying to take solid steps in governance, and countries should not be worried about Afghanistan soil being used against anyone,” Inamullah Samangani, deputy spokesman of Taliban’s foreign ministry was quoted in the report as saying.
