A plan to disrupt the Howdy, Modi! event in Houston, Texas on Sunday (22 September) has been uncovered, with anti-India groups organising a protest at the event for when Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives there to address thousands of Indian-Americans, reports Deccan Herald.
The organisers of the planned protest have even distributed bus schedules which will provide free pick-ups to the protesters; 16 of the 17 pick-up locations are mosques or Islamic centres, indicating the ideological leanings of the groups planning the protest.
British media personality Katie Hopkins took to Twitter to publicise how mosques were being used to co-ordinate the planned disruption of Modi’s address.

A number of Twitter users tagged US authorities on the said post, calling them to investigate the issue of religious places being used to organise a political protest.
This will not be the first time that separatist and pro-Pakistan groups have bused in protesters to launch a confrontational demonstration against India; earlier this month a number of Pakistani and Pro-Khalistan protesters had surrounded the Indian High Commission in London, with some members of the crowd vandalising the building with projectiles.
